Pretend this commercial is clear.

This commercial, which I have never been able to find on YouTube till now, has always annoyed me. While it is well-filmed, I find the theme that people "pretend" that a flood could never happen to them to be totally illogical and off-theme. Thinking that you'll never be a victim of a flood is not pretending that you won't be. Did this man say to his wife, "Let's pretend we'll never have a flood"?  Of couse not. That's like saying someone is going around pretending they won't be hit by a car. How would they do that exactly. This really bugs me because it makes no sense and they keep running it year after year. I'm going to pretend I've never seen it.
