THE ANNUAL SCAM

 It's that time again for H & R Block to rip off taxpayers across America. I just paid them $255.00 for six minutes of consultation and a series of clicks across the keyboard. That doesn't count the $2,287.00 I have to pay the government despite being on Social Security, since my preparer had had no helpful hints on how to save money.  When I suggested that I was paying more in taxes than Trump, she defended him, making an unpleasant experience even moreso.

ANOTHER SHAMEFUL ACT OF GREED

Years ago in preparation for a colonoscopy you could pick up the necessary laxative at any drugstore for less than $5.00. Not any more. The greed mongers, in collusion with your physician, now require that you buy a specific laxative for as much as $150.00. When I questioned why, I was told that the more costly product is less unpleasant and easier to take. Not true. It is every bit as unpleasant and distasteful as any past product and even more so for being an unnecessary, uncovered by most insurance plans, ripoff!
