Much ado about nothing.

There are lots of whiners out there always looking for something to bitch about. The latest is Ellen's joke about Liza Minnelli. Supposedly it is nasty and insulting and a low blow. Nonsense. All over America, there are gay men who do imitations of Liza Minnelli. Many of them are  gorgeous and hard to tell from the genuine article. So for Ellen to joke that Liza is actually a Liza Minnelli imitator is not insulting at all. But it does happen to be the kind of joke that petty pain-in-the-ass carpers glom onto and feast on for days.  I doubt that Ellen would do anything she thought was hurtful. She unfortunately told a joke whose intention could be twisted by the always-lazy media looking for a hook. As you can see from this photo Liza looks great and totally feminine. No harm, no foul.
