One among billions.

I hope that this is an age where atheists come out of the closet. There are millions of people who, in their heart, find all this religious magical thinking absurd, but will not say so. How ridiculous is it, when we know there are billions of planets,  to believe there is a supreme being who watches our every move and one of these days will send you to heaven or hell?  In Texas thousands are praying for rain instead of taking positive steps on dealing with drought. It is long past the time to open our minds to a new age of science and dump the superstition of religion which bears so much responsibility for the hate and destruction of the past.  Now is the time when science and only science is all we have to  protect our future.
