A cold wind in Cleveland.

Tonight I saw the opening on TVLand  for the Hot in Cleveland show that reunited most of the stars from the Mary Tyler Moore show.  The opening was on just for a minute before they went to commercials, but it was enough to see just how everyone had aged, some badly, some not so terrible. But all living proof that Garbo was right: Leave when you're still beautiful. Of course it only reminds us ex-fans who saw the shows first-run just how much we've aged. I was curious to see more, for instance how Valerie Harper looked now that she has greatly recovered. I waited through two commercials, then three more, then five more, then—as I always do in cases like this—felt like an idiot sitting through a barrage of unnecessary commercials so the network could roll in profits while I sat like a dolt. So I did what anyone should do after a run of more than ten commercials, I shut the TV off.
