Oh no! Not again!
Once again, I have lost my Comcast e-mail. It just suddenly doesn't work any longer. I can reply to messages I receive, but cannot initiate new ones. Now you might say I should call Comcast and see what the problem is. But that last time this happened—less than a month ago—it took 17 phone calls and two letters to home office before my e-mail was restored and then not as good as before, during which time my blood pressure rose to dangerous heights, and my love for humanity plummeted. At 71, I don't have the energy to wait for Comcast to answer the phone, to answer all their endlessly repetitive questions, and to wait on line listening to crap music before I am unceremoniously disconnected. Especially when I do get in contact with someone at Comcast—usually an obsequious teenager in Mombia—they never know how to resolve the problem and are "most awfully terribly sorry". So unless my friends write to me, they will never get an e-mail back. Of course miracles do happen, and it could be restored without my doing anything. But, really, what are the chances of that?
