Tempe's Taliban.

In America we have lots of crazy religions. And while the Mormons are up there, no denomination is quite as crazy as the Baptists. They are our Taliban. Want some proof. Arizona pastor Steven Anderson, who runs Tempe's Faithful Word Baptist Church has claimed that, "we can have an AIDS-free world by Christmas" if gays were executed. He made this bizarre announcement during his November 30 sermon. He argued that the gay community is, "filled with disease because of the judgement of God" and added "Anybody who's a homo or bi—it's all the same category—sodomite is what the Bible would call them." Not only is he incredibly bigoted, but he's astoundingly stupid. Has he even heard about the masses of African men, women and children with AIDS? What's his solution for them?  But, more to the point, how many of his congregation were offended and will his church remove him or will they just happily Taliban along.
