"Remember that guy in 420 B.C. who cheated on his wives?"

Theists get certain benefits that we atheists don't. They get the smug satisfaction of believing with their whole heart something that is obviously not true. For instance, we know there is no actual retribution. So when juror 29 says that Zimmerman got away with murder, but he will have to answer to god, we know that means Zimmerman got away with murder. How ridiculous is it to think there is a supreme being who keeps track of every human action? So he's going to make Zimmerman answer for murdering Trayvon Martin. When? Right after he scolds an ancient Egyptian for stealing a loaf of bread in the marketplace?  Does Bundy get more time on trial than O.J. Simpson?  Are the Nazis tried all at once? The whole concept is absurd. And, really, what's the reward. Eternal happiness is some sort of golden Sandals, which nobody deserves. Or burning in the fires of a never-ending hell, which nobody deserves. How arrogant is man to think that he is even worthy of eternal bliss, but a hard-working mule isn't, or a loyal dog. Besides I wouldn't even want to be a heaven that didn't have animals.
