Keep 'em coming.

Americans complain about a lot of things. But surprisingly they don't complain about the one area where they are most taken advantage of and abused: commercials. Since nobody seems to care enough to do a study, I can only suspect that we consumers are exposed to about 60% more commercials than would be necessary for the networks to make an excellent profit. So all the others are strictly out of greed. Right now HLN is televising the Zimmerman trial with breaks ever few minutes to run the hundreds of excessive commercials they have on their roster. They keep assuring us that we won't miss a single moment of the trial and they feel that gives them the right to run an excessive number of commercials to their captive audience. The irony is that we pay for television. When it was free we were assured that if we ever paid to watch tv, it would be commercial-free. Of course that never happened. Even networks like HBO run endless commercials for their own programs. There is no other area where Americans are bigger suckers than the amount of unnecessary commercials we put up with in order to make network executives wealthy. But, sadly, this doesn't seem to bother anyone, or it never occurred to them.
