People are astonishing. Today an Emirates Airline flight from India crash-landed at Dubai's main airport. After skidding and creating sparks one of the wings exploded sending an enormous engine into the air. Fearing a further conflagration all 300 people were told to immediately evacuate the plane. So far, normal. But in watching the interior video of the escaping passengers, I was amazed to see how many of these fleeing idiots were opening the luggage compartments to retrieve their carry-ons. I would think if you had to flee a plane about to explode and catch fire, you might leave it as fast as possible and forget losing precious seconds to grab your belongings. I would be wrong.
