THE GREATEST MYSTERY OF OUR LANGUAGE.

Why does almost everybody say,"the reason why"? The why is never needed. Anytime you hear someone use a sentence with "the reason why"  in it, remove the why and you'll see how superfluous it is. "The reason why we have eyes is to see." has the same meaning as, "The reason we have eyes is to see." "What is the reason why we travel?" is the same as "What is the reason we travel?" Why is useless, redundant, repetitive. Why do we use it? There is no reason. Below is one of a million redundant whys. Completely unnecessary.
