ANOTHER BLACK COLLAR CRIME.

I just read that the Catholic Dioceses are refusing to play music written by a composer accused of sexual misconduct. At least 18 women have accused David Haas, 63, of forced kissing, stalking and other misconduct. Haas whose compositions have been written for Catholic services for 38 years also has music in the programs of other churches. Ironically for someone accused of such possessive behavior, one of his most famous works is called "You Are Mine." Of course one can hardly fail to see the hypocrisy of refusing to play Mr. Haas's work, when the church itself was reluctant to dismiss the sexual crimes of dozens of priests who preyed on children. As a lifelong atheist none of these stories ever come as a surprise to me. I belong to and subscribe to "Freedom From Religion." Every month I receive their newspaper, which features two or three full pages of 10 point type in a section about the latest punished crimes committed by religious hypocrites called "Black Collar Crime."
