I DON'T GET IT.

Barnes and Noble, America's most popular book store sells the world's greatest literature, the best-selling novels, an incredible choice of children's literature, quality toys, the most popular adult games, wonderful accessories, even costly renowned chocolates. Also excellent are their cafes which are far less costly than Starbucks especially with their 10% off membership. Then why is it that this superior vendor or such quality products plays over their loudspeakers some of the crappiest low-brow music. True every now and then a classical piece or classic song sneaks in, but more often than not one is forced to listen to putrid pop songs many with a single lyric line which is sung, screamed, or whined 25 times. Is their person in charge of music a 16-year old druggie out to punish people who read by making choosing a book so distracting that you can't decide between Dickens or Winnie the Pooh? I have written several times to complain, but received no response. Am I the only complainer? No. Not only have I heard griping from other customers, but several sales people have resented this continual assault to their ears.
