Where Have All The Young Men Gone?

To my mind almost all the music you hear today, piped in loudly everywhere go, is lousy. Untalented singers whining or screaming to mediocre music played by third-rate musicians. Actually it's not even music, it's noise with a beat. Still, as bad as it is, and it is bad, there is still one aspect that mystifies me: Why are there so few male vocalists (and I used the word vocalists only because even bad singers have vocal cords)? Almost every voice is female. From the strident Mariah Carey to the simplistic lyrics and highly overrated talent of Taylor Swift. Sadly Adele can sing but chooses to perform her own mundane crap. Highly talented, of course, is Lady Gaga, but today's unsophisticated fans will never realize in what way. But the field is overrun with females, some little more than strippers. Where are the guys, the boys, the new male kids on the block? They're disappearing. And now that Prince has gone, there's one less.
