If chemists could create a vaccine to fight coronavirus in record time, why can't they create a mob- defeating gas or vapor. This non-lethal spray would, at the first signs of trouble, enervate a mob to the point that they were either sleepy or just immobile. In that two- or three-hour condition, law officials would take down their vital statistics, handcuff them, and—when they recovered—release them or confine them. I know. I can see the righteous saying this is a terrible idea, a lack of freedom and privacy. And I say that those who attempt riots and insurrections don't deserve the rights that law-abiding citizens do. This plan would quell disasters and avoid death and not be without its comical aspects. Am I being serious?What do you think?
