A NEST OF VIPERS.

When I was a teenager in the 1950s, the general belief was that anyone running for president had to been clean. That meant no crimes, no dalliances, no lies, no scams, no tax evasion, no crooked businesses. In short no sins of which Trump is unquestionably guilty. When did we start allowing criminals to run for president? Even when we found out Nixon and Agnew were crooks, we got rid of them. But members of Congress are pushing for the reelection of a thief, lowlife, scam artist, racist, philanderer, rapist, tax evader, and lazy slob. When did this become acceptable for the most important position in the free world? Bad enough that this charlatan has all these failings, but he also wants to destroy our democracy. His return to power with the help of an increasing number of treasonous Republicans is a death knell for America and makes meaningless all the gains that blacks have achieved in our bigoted society. And yet it seems that we are sitting silently while the right wing, white power advocates of state after state bend the voting rules to their advantage. Who will stop this madness?  Who will rescue the United States from the Republican enemy?
