LYRICS TO THINK ABOUT.

One of my favorite musicals is The Adventures of Marco Polo which was an NBC special televised in 1956. I am surprised that nobody has brought it to the stage as the music is gorgeous (Rimsky-Korsakov) and the lyrics by Edward Eager are brilliant. Here is just a sample from "Population" one of the many great songs:
I've been studying people
In crowds and in dozens.
We may not all be brothers
But I think at least we're cousins.
And when you know me
With more familiarity,
If you don't look at the difference,
You'll see the similarity.
