It's hard enough to see the same boring commercial again and again and again. It's even harder to watch when it is inaccurate and stupid. Take the Prilosec "Fire Brigade" commercial. It says why use ten buckets of water to put out a fire when you can use one fire extinguisher? And they show a fire extinguisher dousing a fire that it would only actually take one bucket of water to do the same job, not ten. As an award-winning copywriter for 40 years, I find most of today's commercials lacking in concept, wit and logic. I'd write to the advertiser or ad agency, but I have found that most companies never answer their mail.
