Yesterday after Trump inspired his ignorant, gullible supporters to assault the nation's Capitol, he had a single moment of recognition that he had gone too far. That's when he encouraged them to go home with the use of three lies. 1. was that the election had been stolen from him. This was never true and if these insurrectionists had done any research they would know it was a lie. 2. That he loved them. Trump doesn't love anyone, least of all the great unwashed and uneducated whom he sees only as a distasteful tool to power and praise. 3. That they are special. Thugs and goons, male and female, are not special. They are the dangerous dregs of society, the spoilers and destroyers, the least valuable among us. But why should this army of criminals recognize these Trump lies when they have dismissed thousands of others?
