I am a Democrat and will always be a Democrat, but recently have felt warmer toward many Republicans. Such as? Mitt Romney, the only Republican Senator to have the courage to stand against Donald Trump during his impeachment. Who else? All the Republicans who refused to join Hawley's Raiders and had the integrity to declare Joe Biden our new president. But my favorite Republican is Gabriel Sterling, the election supervisor for the State of Georgia. He is clearly a fair-minded, truth-telling state official who came out strongly against thugism in past weeks, and this week clearly explained the state's voting procedures and results in a manner so clear even Trump could understand it if he so chose. So, he may never see my blog, but here's an invisible toast to Gabe Sterling in tribute to his great character, great clarity, great passion, great hair.
