THE FIFTH COLUMN

The following is a definition of The Fifth Column. Many people are not familiar with this term, so I am not talking down to those who are. I think it's a very important term that applies today to the
Republican Senate. A fifth column is any group of people who undermine a larger group from within, usually in favor of an enemy group or nation. The activities of a fifth column can be overt or clandestine. Forces gathered in secret can mobilize openly to assist an external attack.
