NOT A BOOK IN SIGHT.

One of the pleasant aspects of being quarantined is the we get to see, on the news, the homes of so many reporters and celebrities. In most cases they are speaking in front of a bookcase, which is full of
books, journals, reference manuals, and a few decorative objects. This reinforces our image of these daily visitors to our home and tells us a lot about their qualifications and intellectual powers. Then we have Betsy DeVos, a woman totally unqualified for her job. She is also posed in front of a bookcase, which, not surprisingly has no books. It would appear that she put more effort into plastering her face than in suggesting qualifications that she lacks. Sadly is shows that she is not terribly bright and has put out a visual for everyone to see without considering the message it sends about her vacuity.
