"WOULD YOU PLEASE REPEAT THAT?"

Why does the Internet have so many plugs for Trump's passing an over-the-counter hearing aid bill? Yes, it's wonderful news and a significant achievement that a Trump bill has put hearing aids within the reach of ordinary people—from as much s $5,000 to $200.  This breakthrough is designed for the many people who are not seriously hearing impaired and can benefit from an over-the-counter product. Those seriously impaired will still need to see a doctor for more specific needs.  Still one wonders why there are so many mentions of this breakthrough. Is it because they want to make sure the hard-of-hearing are aware of this money-saving event?  Or is it because Trump has accomplished so little during his term that he wants to highlight one of his few achievements? (Though these many
blurbs only mention Trump, this breakthrough was achieved by Elizabeth Warren.)
