If you could spend some time in Indiana, you know what might surprise you? How unpopular Mike Pence is. He is generally perceived by Indianans as a narrow-minded racist bigot. They were astonished when Trump chose him as Vice President. Not surprising considering how weak and malleable he is. Not surprising when you consider how anti-gay he is, what a pious hypocrite he is, and how much of a xenophobe. Unlike Biden who chose a strong, independent-minded, forward thinker as Vice President, Trump chose a 5'10" combination lump of clay and punching bag. He didn't want anyone who might be more popular than him. No danger there. And if Fate were kind and Trump kicked the bucket in office, Pence wouldn't have a chance of being elected president after wimping and praying his way through what remained of Trump's term. Pence looks like an extra in a film about Nazis. Interesting.
