I was surprised this week when Trump was on TV saying that the Democratic Convention was gloomy, depressing, angry and several other negative comments. It was none of those things, of course, but MSNBC didn't contradict Trump. Nor did two friends of mine. They said, "That was his opinion" which is ridiculous. He was obviously jealous that it went so well. I object to the news broadcasting lies because they fill the time, especially when those who didn't see the DNC might believe those lies. My friends call this. "Freedom of speech". When did freedom of speech become the right to lie with impunity. Is it freedom of speech to say, "Blacks are inferior?" Of course not, that's racism. Is it freedom of speech to say, "Women aren't as brave as men?" No. That's sexism. More and more there seems to be a fine line between speech and freedom of speech. This is a fine line the MSNBC doesn't seem to understand, since their idea of freedom of speech is to broadcast anything Trump says regardless of how it will be interpreted and whether it's true. Unless we start contradicting Trump and pointing out his petty lies and false achievements, we're in for another four years of hell, possibly the final four years of our democracy. This monster lives for exposure, so I shall try to find a replacement for him with every post.
