THE REPUBLICANS' ESCAPE HATCH.

The best thing that could happen to the Republican Party is for Trump to lose. Sadly the GOP flunkies are up too close to see what a joke Trump is to everybody else. If he loses, and a few respectable Republicans are elected that's the start of a new party. Eventually America will forget what a travesty he was, and how useless his family was. The Republicans who crossed over for this one election will be admired for taking one for the country. Since their patriotism will be clearly established, they can campaign as Republicans for the next election and we'll back to a battle of equals. (Forget having another Trump run. America will never forget the bad taste Donalds leave.)
