Consumer Cellular used to be a reasonably priced, dependable phone service that was easy to reach and had knowledgeable reps. No more. I recently bought a flip phone that is a nightmare of unwanted services. It rings about 50 times a day for no reason I can figure out since they are not call-ins. Plus it sends out screaming Amber Alerts for kidnappings 250 miles away. I have contacted CC and nobody there can stop this loud repetitive annoyance or unnecessary alarms. Lately I have called trying again and their phones are always busy and no matter how long I wait nobody answers. Consumer Cellular promotes themselves as am excellent, clear service for elderly people. Well, I am 78, and have never been so annoyed by any provider other than Comcast.
