The emu commercials for Liberty Mutual have go to rank as some of the worst advertising of the 21st Century. I can't imagine why the company okayed this ridiculous theme and spends so much money creating new atrocities. Was it because they were jealous of the Gecko and wanted their own dumb, irrelevant creature? And why is the emu a female? So they can adorn her with ridiculous jewelry? And if she is a female, then why does her seedy partner refer to her as "buddy" in one of the more irritating commercials in which he keeps changing form? There are so many bad commercials assaulting us every day. These are among the most offensive and ubiquitous.
