Today on ID the script featured an amusing and inaccurate stupidity. To inform you that the murder victim had nettles on his socks, the detectives on the case pointed out that he was drugged. What they meant of course was that he was dragged  (a frequent mistake), leaving one to wonder how ingesting drugs puts nettles on one's socks.  Proper English is very rare on these shows, which I watch continually. Most officers will say the "body was laying" which is incorrect, instead of,"the body was lying", which isn't. This error, however, is not nearly as painful to one's ears as drug as a past tense of drag.
