Mary Trump has wisely suggested that Ivanka and Donald Trump Jr., the Children of the Corn, are unlikely be named to high office in the future. Being millionaires why would they want to? They obviously have no concern for ordinary people.They don't need the salary. And they are not used to working. The answer is that having a government office is a status symbol, like an expensive car or costly jewelry. That was the only reason that shallow Kelly Loeffler wanted to be Senator and the same applies to Ivanka. And she will probably be elected, dumb as she is. Will she make a good Senator? Of course not. But after all, she does deserve to have whatever she wants.

- I am a retired copywriter. For 40 years I wrote for major agencies and developed some campaigns you would know. Like most writers, I love to give my opinion, and since I am so familiar with advertising this is the area I chose to comment on. Actually I'm not that cranky. I am as fond of as many things as I detest. Crankyone, I think you spend too much time and effort on political rants when your mental health would possibly be improved by ranting instead about current "highly rated" movies. Could anything be uglier and more dehumanizing than the opening art gallery sequence of Tom Ford's Nocturnal Animals? Anything more meaningless and dispiriting than Climax? There's little that can be done to save folks who disagree with you politically, but some cogent reviews of streaming films might save readers who respect you from wasting viewing time.
