A DRAFT DODGER AT WEST POINT.

Talk about contrast. There were 1100 proud cadets at West Point about to graduate and begin serving their country. And there in front of them was a rumpled, elderly fat man who lied to get out of military duty during the Viet Nam war. Heroes and a coward. The proud and the profane. Strong men and women who passed every test, and a moron who can barely read the teleprompter. We know that Trump didn't write this speech. since he wouldn't have a clue to use "crucible". Then who did? Stephen Miller, the Nazi? Maybe. But as evil as he is, he usually doesn't use so many cliches. It seemed like Trump stayed on script, except when he felt the need to mention that the anniversary of the army, and his birthday fall on the same day. There was no applause. In fact the applause during the entire tedious speech was tepid. I suspect there were a few Trump fans among the cadets. But if we had closeups, I'm sure you would see a lot of eye-rolling. The ceremony ended with each cadet
marching toward the dais, saluting and moving on. This was particularly pleasing because it means Trump, who never gets exercise had to lift his tiny hand in a salute hundreds of times.  One can only hope his flabby arm will ache for days.
