UGLY DOCTOR LEVIT.

 I have to look at this ugly face every day when I go through my e-mail. Though he has an unsubscribe click he doesn't honor it. Friends have told me that his snake oil products are completely useless and that once he gets your e-mail he never lets go. Pity our government doesn't do more to protect us from scam artists and spam peddlers.

 If you're like and have always admired the classic Eames Lounge chair and ottoman, and someday plan to buy one, heed my advice. Make sure the product you buy is genuine. I bought two Eames chairs for $4,000 each in 2010. They were beautiful. They were comfortable. I loved them. Until 2020 when they suddenly fell apart. For the next several years I spent over $1,000 having them repaired. It was a battle. This week I lost the battle. Both chairs have recently faced their final collapse and cannot be repaired. I am assuming I was sold fake Eames chairs by Office Solutions in Chicago, but who knows? they may have been the real thing from Herman Miller. Maybe the Eames chair was always beautiful but never perfect. 

Look-alike.

The only thing Kari Lake has going for her is that she's attractive. She seems to have found a look that suits her and if she didn't open her mouth, she would come across as sane. Last night I think I found out who inspired her near-acceptable appearance: British film stars Lesley-Ann Down in the film Sphinx. She must have seen this film and said, "I can look like that,"then cropped her hair, worked on her makeup and voila an appearance just like the British film star. Unfortunately she still remained a nutcase who couldn't land a leading role in Arizona, and whose only screen appearances were on the nightly news insisting that her part as senator was stolen. Sadly looks aren't everything. 

DOWNHILL MEDICAL COVERAGE IS EPIDEMIC.

It was never easy to make a doctor's appointment. Now it is impossible. First of all your have to wait on a queue for them to answer the phone (15 to 20 minutes) all the time having to listen to god-awful repetitive music (if you can call it that). Then you are either told to leave a message or have to deal with an incompetent staff member who often speaks with a very thick accent who assures you the only appointment they have for your possibly terminal condition is 8 months away. To add to this your greedy physician who makes a fortune threatens you with a stiff cash penalty if you are late for the future appointment or don't show up at all. If you have a doctor who doesn't overbook who has a staff who answer the phone promptly and do their best to give you a reasonable appointment consider yourself fortunate to enjoy such a rare privilege while most of us in need of medical care are still on hold.

NO ONE GETS BLAMED.

I see too many stories these days about children or teens who are accidentally killed by guns that were not properly locked away. Recently one teen killed his brother, while another child was shot too death by a gun left accessible to him. What angers me is that the laws designed to imprison those who left these guns unattended are never held responsible, never arrested, and convicted of the dead child's death. Our hypocritical governor DeSantis who claims to be such a law and order figure hasn't recommended punishment for any of these careless gun owners that I can see.

I just wasted eight hours of my life watching one of the worst Netflix series ever: 1899. I should have seen right from the beginning that this inexorably stupid movie had no story, no plot, no logic, no nothing. I was taken in because it was filmed aboard a ship and looked interesting, but I soon realized this ship and plot was going nowhere, yet I stayed aboard through every absurd chapter. The themes, what there were, were constantly repeated as was the annoying line, "Wake up." The dialog was dippy, the characters cliche, the reveal at the end meaningless. At one point a frequent gimmick: passengers going through shafts from the ship in a stormy sea to a barren earth landscape was so repetitive it became comical. I advise anyone who is tempted to watch this stupid movie change their mind, By the way there was no reference and no connection to the end a century, so even the title was idiotic. (P.S. COLORADO CRAZY.

How stupid must the citizens of Colorado be to elect Lauren Boebert? This angry harridan doesn't have a brain in her head but does have a lengthy criminal record. She's married to a sex offender, has stupidity poisoned dozens of diners,  has worked as an escort to put it politely and has proven time and again that she is incredibly ignorant. Worse than anything she is an unhinged conspiracy creep and traitor to the country that pays her undeserved salary. Colorado's image has taken a major hit with the election of this vulgar, unAmerican, drunk-driving
uneducated gun-toting bimbo.
