Growing old.

Feeling old.

Nothing works the way it should.

Used to say, “I’m feeling fine.”

Now I answer, “Not so good.”

Aching bones.

Burning feet.

Falling hair and failing sight.

Seven pills to start the day,

Three more every night.

Forgetting things.

Regretting things.

Growing old’s no fun.

The only consolation is

I’m not the only one.

 

 

MEN NOT MINDING THEIR OWN BUSINESS.

 The big news this week seems to be that Justice Alito has come out with some kind of unwelcome opinion on Roe vs. Wade. First of all he should keep his opinions to himself as should any man. Abortion is a women's issue and only women have any right to comment on it, not men, and certainly not elderly old fools or ignorant misogynists like DeSantis. Also anti-abortion is a religious issue, one not covered by the Bible, but only by sanctimonious bigoted Christians. And since we are supposed to separate religion from government, the subject should never be brought up at all. Studies show that most American woman are pro-choice. What do I think? Who the fuck cares? I'm male, and not entitled to an opinion.
