BITCH!

We all know that Donald Trump is a creep, and a braggart, and a narcissist, and a not always astute businessman. But what offends me most is that he's such a bitch. I am stunned that a man who considers himself so confident will so often attack women for their looks and behave like a petty gossip columnist. Among his many attacks on Hillary, Carly, and dozens of other women, his most offensive attack was on Kim Novak after she appeared on the Academy Awards.  We won't repeat the low, nasty, and catty remarks that Trump made, but they wounded Miss Novak who, at 81, looked terrific and didn't deserve the criticism . But the comments said very little about Kim Novak, a great beauty who time has not diminished, but a lot about Donald Trump, a puffy, bleached-blond, multi-chinned moron who lives in a very glassy house.

For those few and loyal readers of my blog, I will be away from my computer for about a month. Normally this would mean no posts since a Luddite like me cannot figure out how to post away from home, but I will make every effort to continue posting, so check in periodically as I may succeed.

Since I am an atheist, it shouldn't surprise you that I find these recent weather reports fascinating. First of all it's the bible belt that gets slammed most. Yesterday, along with the many other tornados that tore through the South and Midwest, Texas was bombarded by softball-sized hail that broke windows, destroyed homes, mutilated cars, and scared the bejesus out of  all the townfolk. Not only do these very Christian areas of American suffer incredible storms, but they often include lightning. And that lightning more often than not destroys the local church. So the imaginary and loving god that they all revere so much in the South seems to have it in for his worshippers. He destroys their homes, kills their children, murders lots of pious citizens, and has even knocked out a school or two. And do they curse him? No. The homeless still standing thank him for sparing their lives, without giving a thought to the dead family next door.  Religion. So outdated. So illogical.

AYN'S BIGGEST FAN.

The lazy and incompetent media has been pushing Paul Ryan, of the bloodhound eyes, as the great GOP hope in the next election. As far as I'm concerned he's ten times as vain and just as worthless as Rafael Cruz as a replacement for the increasingly insane Donald Trump. Ryan is just another self-aggrandizing  Republican who has no understanding of people, no empathy for the poor, no true regard for the rights of women, and—like most Republicans—he's a liar, about everything from running marathons, vilifying Obama, and the many impossible changes he and Romney were going to make if they won the election. The very fact that he is such a devoted disciple of Ayn Rand, author of the book that speaks for itself, The Virtue of Selfishness, gives us a clue of how genuine he is. There must be a decent, fair-minded Republican somewhere in Congress, but Trump, Ryan, Cruz, and all the other jokers who have dropped out of the race are not that man or woman.

Our stupidest move.

Who are the idiots that ever initiated nuclear power? It was always a bad idea and still is, though there are some that are still pushing for more nuclear plants. In Japan, authorities have activated a large, subterranean "ice wall" to stop radiation leaking from the Fukushima Daiichi plant.  That's another $312 million today to repair a problem that happened five years ago. That's not counting the cost of storing the radioactive water on the site: nearly 800,000 tons so far. The world is in danger from accidents caused by two nuclear power plans, Fukushima and Chernobyl. That's just two out of 438 in the world, with 67 more being planned. We are arranging for our own nuclear destruction. Not only might any one of these plants fail, but each is perfect target for terrorists like ISIS. They don't need to build nuclear bombs. We are building them for them.
